Google Wave
Google Wave is Google’s newest application that Google recently released. Google Wave is built on a open source java platform that developers will be able to use to build gadgets and robots for Wave. These ‘Wavelets’ as they are called are made by developers to retrive any information that it is build for, such as RSS feeds, Pictures, Twitter, or any social media site. At the moment about 600,000 people including me are in the private beta that Google is using to gather information on how to make Google Wave better. Currently Google Wave can be run natively on Safari and Firefox, but if you want to use Google Wave with Internet Explorer you have to get the Chrome plugin for IE. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it about 8 on usability and design. There are lots of addons for Google Wave and there will soon be more once the closed beta go public.
